THE MARATHON DIARIES
April 2006 bore witness to a couple of momentous events. Sir Steve Redgrave, running his third London Marathon, broke the record for the most amount of money raised by an individual at any official marathon. Raising over £1.8m was a remarkable achievement and served as the icing on the cake when he simultaneously achieved his aim of raising over £5m in five years.
Arguably even more remarkable was the contribution made by Studio41's Jacqueline Alexander, who embarked on a keep-fit campaign to complete her first London Marathon as part of Team Redgrave. Sir Steve and Jacqueline decided to record their journey in The Marathon Diaries. The online journals resulted in quite a few surprises as a five-times Olympic champion compared notes with a PUP (pretty unfit person)!
